KNOCK-OUT OPTION
An option contract that expires automatically if an asset reached a specified price level even before the expiration date. It sets the cap level an option can reach, favorable to the holder. This also limits the profit potential for the option buyer but can be purchased for a smaller premium than a parallel option but has no knock-out stipulation.
