JAMES H. CLARK

An American entrepreneur and computer scientist. The serial entrepreneur was likely best known for co-founding Netscape with Marc Andreessen in 1994. Aside from Netscape, he also founded several and notable Silicon Valley technology companies such as Silicon Graphics, Inc., myCFO, and Healtheon, among others. Netscape Navigator used to become the market leader in internet browsers. Since it was not free to use, it lost to Internet Explorer and was acquired by AOL in 1998. Clark’s research work in computer graphics resulted to the development of systems for the fast rendering of 3D computer images.
