JACK WELCH

An American business executive, author, and chemical engineer. He was the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of General Electric from 1981-2001. During his tenure in GE, Welch raised its market value to $410 billion. He earned the reputation as one of the top CEOs of all time and was recognized as the Manager of the Century in 199 by Fortune magazine. Welch’s management style include embracing change and reinvention, leading not controlling, giving employees responsibility and freedom, being focused and consistent, and following up.
