GRAVEYARD MARKET
Extended bear market where existing investors facing substantial losses want to get out while new ones do not want to partake in the market. It is called such due to an undesirable situation in which to be trapped. Old investors want to exit the market but cannot do so because that would mean crystallizing their huge unrealized losses. But new investors are hesitated to enter the market because they prefer being on the sidelines than risk being sucked into the morass. It also pertains to securities infrequently traded due to lack of investor interest.
