GLOBAL RECESSION

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) determines global recessions using a wide set of criteria including a decline in per capita gross domestic product across the globe. As per IMF, the decrease in global output must synchronize with a weakening of other macroeconomic indicators such as capital flows, employment, and trade.
