EXCESS KURTOSIS
Statistical term referring to a likelihood (or return distribution) having a greater kurtosis coefficient than the coefficient linked to a normal distribution. It implies the possibility of getting an extreme value in the future is higher than a lower kurtosis level. Kurtosis is a gauge of the likelihood an occurrence is extreme relative to a given distribution.
