EVENT OF DEFAULT
Action or circumstance pressing the lender to demand the entire repayment of an outstanding balance sooner than its original due payment. In many cases, the lender will entail a contract provision encompassing events of default to guard itself in the event the borrower fails or refuses to continue the loan payment the loan in the future. It enables the lender to seize any collateral and sell it to recover the loan.
