ELEVATOR PITCH
Colloquial term for a short speech summarizing the idea for a given product, service, or project. The term stems from the notion the statement should be delivered within the short time period of an elevator ride, normally 20 to 60 seconds. In finance, it refers to a businessman’s endeavor to persuade a venture capitalist a business idea is worth his investment.
