DRUG
Substance which cures, mitigates, prevents, or treats the symptoms of an illness or ailment. Patients can take drugs orally as a tablet or liquid, by injection, by skin absorption, through nasal inhalation, or using other methods. The Food and Drug Administration in the United States regulate these drugs while the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) serves as a watchdog. Certain firms produce counterfeit drugs since this is a huge business. Taking illegal drugs may be illegal and ineffective, and may also be deadly in worst cases.
