CLASS B SHARES
Classification of common stocks which may have more or lesser voting rights over Class A shares. Even though these shares have greater voting rights than Class B shares, this is not always the case. Frequently, firms will attempt to conceal the disadvantages connected to holding shares with lower voting rights by describing those shares as Class A, and those with higher voting rights as Class B.
