BLUE OCEAN
Slang term for uncontested market space for an unidentified industry or innovation. Blue oceans refer to vast potential profits. Professors W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne coined the phrase in their 2005 book Blue Ocean Strategy: How to Create Uncontested Market Space and the Make Competition Irrelevant.
