BENCHMARK SURPLUS
This term is an insurance term that talks about the quantity of surplus from an added capital source that would be essential to act as an additive to the cash flow. The benchmark surplus would be a compulsory when sudden contingencies takes place that could disorganize or harm the cash flow needed for an insurance company to make future benefit payments for which it has already taken the premiums.
