ASSUMPTION ENDORSEMENT
A supplemental insurance policy demanding that, in case the original insurer turns to insolvent, any claim governed by the reinsurance will be paid straight to the policyholder by the reinsurance, instead through the traditional channels. This is not aimed to aggregate the risk to the reinsurer but, rather, to accelerate the claims process. Also referred a "cut-through endorsement."
